Jose Mourinho finally breaks silence after rumours of bust-up with David De Gea

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has broken his silence following speculation that a private bust-up had taken place involving himself and David De Gea.

It was initially believed that De Gea had been ruled out of United’s trip to Sunderland with an injury but recent rumours suggest the goalkeeper was dropped after a row with Mourinho.
Reports claim the Spaniard took a disliking to Mourinho’s criticism that he had lost focus in recent weeks – with Real Madrid circling – but the manager played down the apparent incident.
‘I’m not interested in the speculation and if the player is, he shouldn’t be,’ the Portuguese said ahead of United’s clash with Anderlecht in the Europa League.
‘At the end of the season players think about what will happen next in their careers.
‘Every match is one that demands total focus for us. I don’t see De Gea with any problem related to this.’
De Gea has travelled to Belgium for the European tie but Sergio Romero is expected to start between the sticks for the Red Devils.
